Website Owner's Manual

So, now you have a website... ...Now what do you do?

Having your own website is quickly becoming today's industry standard in presenting your image and information to the world. It's accessible to anyone, anywhere, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year! Your website can be one of your most powerful tools. However, just having a website up on the World Wide Web is not where everything stops. It's really just the beginning of your business relationship between you and your website to successfully promote your products, your business, your services, your information or even yourself.

Promote, Promote, Promote!

Your website will show the whole world everything you have to offer. Now the trick is to get the whole world (or at least a good amount of traffic) to come to your site. So, in this business relationship you now have with your website, the website's role is clear; it presents you and your information in the best possible light so that people will come to you. You're role in this relationship is to do the same thing for your website. It's up to you to get people to go to the website! Put your site's address on everything you send out... Business cards, flyers, newspaper ads, television ads, post cards, newsletters, every email you send out (include your sites name in the signature file), billboards.... Put your web address on everything you can think of.

You can run a small ad that shows just enough to intrigue the reader. Feature your website's address in the ad. Now the customer can go to your website and see everything you want them to see. This just made your tiny ad extremely powerful.

I can't say enough about this; you work with your website to create success. So do your part and get the website address out there!

Keep it Fresh!

It's good to always keep your website fresh, add to it from time to time. If your visitors know the website wasn't just put up there and forgotten, they will be more inspired to come back and take a look every now and then. Ad new inventory, new information, a new press release, change the look, keep it contemporary with how you want your image to be presented.

I can do occasional updates to your site from time to time, or if you'd like, I can set you up with regular scheduled maintenance. Get in touch with me and we can discuss how to keep your website tuned up to be one of your most valuable business assets.

Congratulations on your new website!
